Traffic Route to Armenia Reopened

The blocked road to Armenia was reopened by the forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Announcing the news, the mayor of Qapan city of Syunik province of Armenia, Georg Parsian, added: "The Kapan-Goris road located in Syunik province of Armenia has been reopened and traffic has been resumed."

The reopening of the road was the result of the negotiations held between representatives of the national security service peacekeepers of Armenia, peacekeepers from Russia – who are already settled on the ground -  and representatives from Azerbaijan republic.

A few days ago the Azerbaijani forces had blocked the Kapan-Goris road at the border province of Syunik.
