On day 4 of the International Safe Community Seminar, Jolfa joined the International Safe Community Network after the two parties, the Aras Free Zone Organization’s CEO and Professor Dale Hanson, chairman of the International Safe Community Certifying Centre as their respective representatives signed a memorandum declaring that Jolfa is committed to the certification criteria.
This ceremony was held concurrently with “Government Week” in Aras Free Zone.
As such, the city of Jolfa joined 408 safe communities for 86 million people worldwide and has officially been declared a safe city.
"Joining the city of Jolfa to the International Safe Community is a clear example of the effort to achieve Balad-e- Amin, Arabic term for safe city," said the Aras Free Zone Head of Board of Directors and Managing Director.
